Clutch Bleeding

I have a 96 Nissan Maxima, I had a Master Cylinder placed on May 2006. I have to keep brake fluid in my reservoir, but I fail to keep an eye on it and it got low.

When I tried to press on the clutch it made a whistling noise, therefore I thought I had air in my clutch. I bleed the clutch to get out all the air, but now the clutch is sticking to the floor. What could be the problem?

Hi there,

I feel that you still have air in the system. Lift the pedal back up and check reservoir. Open bleeder and depress pedal close bleeder and lift pedal up again repeat untill no air left in system. Bleed into a bottle with a length of clear hose, when all air bubbles are gone the system will be bleed, you may see a few tiny bubbles that will not be a problem, as for the pedal not returning, with no residual pressure in the line it will not return on it's own. When bleed it will work fine.
