2005 Nissan Maxima Car steering wheel shakes a little

When the car is traveling at a high speed and I begin to apply the breaks the steering wheel shakes a little, and so does the car.

I think it may be the brakes or rotors?

rotors are out of round also have pads and calipers checked while you are there and check hoses for cracks since it is a older vehicle
