My wife dropped her car off at the dealer for an oil change. They claim the rear pads were going to have to be replaced soon although they were still okay now. They also claimed here power steering fluid was "gunky" and needed changed. When she picked it up they claimed to have resurfaced the rotors as well as replacing the pads. Cost $290.00 - $90 for pads and brake clean and the rest in labor. The also charged $110 for flushing the power steering fluid - $40 of which was parts.
This seems very excessive to me from a cost standpoint and why would you have to resurface rotors where the pads were still good?
