2003 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Automatic 45000 miles

have bought a new battery hooked up the baattery cables and the horn sounds and headlights flash on and off how do i turn them off ?

The flash and horn sound indicates that you have somehow triggered the theft alarm while installing the battery.

I suggest that you try again, and if the alarm is triggered again, use your remote key dongle and do this:

Lock and then unlock. It should then sent a signal to computer/alarm system to dis-arm. Good luck.
