Dear Mechanical Gurus,
I have a '00 Maxima. I failed emissions - my "bank 2" cat converters are kaput. The mechanic said the front and rear conv were bad. I would like to save some $$$ by ordering them online, but don't want to order the wrong ones. Are there some out there that will definitely fit that bank's converter needs? I have seen Eastern, Catco, and DEC. Ideas or suggestions?

I have ordered cats from the first two places you mentioned and was quite pleased with the quality and service. The ones I ordered were not for a Nissan but they were a direct, bolt on and go replacement. I suggest replacement of the oxygen sensors (pre-cat) as well due to the lifespan of said sensors. Most car makers have a recommended replacement protocol of 100000 miles.
