We replaced both cv axles in my fathers maxima today and no drive or reverse. Now i am not new to the scene when it comes to cv axles i have done at least 5-6 in the past 15 years and i never had a problem before. The car needed both lower ball jts, both swaybar links and both drive axles for insp... Replaced everthing like i would any other time, finished set the car back on the ground, ckd the trans fluid, started it up and nothing at all. Now the only thing i can think of is the axles are limited slip and the trans axle code on the car said it wasnt. Did the parts store give us the wrong axles? Did the car have an engine, trans swap? Or what i am hoping for did the trans loose to much fluid when the axles where out and maybe the nissan trans has some type of bleeding that needs performed?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
