1999 Nissan Maxima FLOOD DAMAGE

I recently drove my car through a huge puddle and water came inside the car, about 1 inch of water has saturated into the car floor, I am very worried about mold and mildew under the carpet, I called the adjuster 2 days ago and they still haven't came to look at the damage... should I dry it myself instead of waiting... and if so how do i dry it? it's still soaked. Please help!!
