1998 Nissan Maxima C/V joints

The boots on my C/V joints have failed. Now it is time for struts, 1/2 shafts, and brakes. How difficult is it to get the shafts out?. I see the passenger side is bolted to the output shaft, does the drivers side "snap" in like on some imports?.

I have extensive heavy truck, and equipment maintenance background.

due 2 rust, the shafts can b difficult 2 remove. use impact gun to remove center nut on axle.REMOVE STRUT BOLTS TO RELEASE HUB,REMOVE TIE ROD NUT AND USE TIE ROD FORK 2SEPERATE TROD FROM HUB tilt the hub(TO THE LEFT ON PASSENGER SIDE, TO THE RIGHT ON DRIVERS SIDE) and tap the axle out of hub(NEVER TAP ON NEW AXLE),PRY AXLE FROM TRANS(MAKE SURE THE STABELIZER IS DISCONNECTED ON PASSENGER SIDE, IF ONE IS PRESENT,LUBE NEW AXLE WITH TRANS FLUID,INSERT INTO TRANS, FLEX AT THE BOOT, AND SLIDE OTHER END INTO HUB USING A ROTATING MOTION.IF REPLACING STRUTS,WHILE AXILE IS OUT,REMOVE THREE NUTS UNDER THE HOOD AT STRUT HOUSING, REMOVE STRUT AND TAKE TO LOCAL SHOP TO HAVE NEW STRUT INSTALLED USING SPRING COMPRESSOR, DONOT TRY URSELF,SPRING IS UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE AND CAN HAVE DEADLY RESULTS
