Lately I've noticed a couple of drops of coolant on the garage floor every morning.

I had the car checked at a radiator shop and they told me it is the Water pump leaking and need replacement ( a $500 job).

My question: Is it safe to drive the car as money is tight and need to wait for a month to do the repair.

Also, could it be something else causing the leak?

Thanks

I mean, it could be a hose, but I would take it somewere else for a couple of more opinions . you can get someone to take a quick look without charging you. 500.00 I would learn how to do it my self. if its a water pump. you dont want to take any chances , a month is a long time, it may not last another day, especially now that its getting hotter out. Im sure you can buy the part at a parts place for cheap and just pay the labor. don't go to the dealer though, they will kill you with their prices
