i have never heard this car run when i bought it. there were 4 coils missing, vg30de. i replaced the coils n plugs n made sure they all were firing at the spark plug. there was oil around most of the spark plugs i removed. the car started but was very rough n needed constant gas pedal play to keep it running. i thought it was the exhaust manifold but the noise was coming from the intake. it was really loud when i removed the MAF sensor assembly from the intake n then refused to start even after reassembly. the check engine light never came on. i want to alleviate all possible problems as a do it yourself project before i spend hundreds of dollars on just the diagnostics itself.
