when the gas tank is full and the car sits for a while a wet spot smelling of gasoline and have seen gas dripping from under the car.

Hi there,

You will have to get the car on a hoist and have the tank, filler neck and fuel lines checked for a problem, it should be easy to locate as the fuel will stain and be very visible.
