I have a 2002 Nissan Altima 2.5 with 118,000 miles , automatic transmision, and the problem is rough idleing, and hesitant takeoff with sputtering that smotthes out after reaching about 30 mph, i noticed that my coolant needs adding to about once a week, i think i noticed a little gunk in the oil fill area where you add oil. i haven't noticed any white or unusual smoke from the tail pipe. it seems like when the engine gets warm and i try to restart after a short trip ,its hard restarting like its trying to catch, and i get a strong gas emission smell... also gas mileage is poor...
