We drove our Nissan in 3rd gear, by mistake, for over 200 miles at 70 miles/hr, what will be the damage to the engine?

Hi there,
There should be no damage done, the only thing it will do is make the engine rev a little harder, and it would run at a slightly elevated temp, about the only thing i would do is goive it a oil change with a filter, you should not experience any problems.
