Replacing rear running lights?

The plastic nuts just pull of with needle nose pliers. There are nuts behind the plastic covers and those will come off with a deep well socket.

Below is the process from the manual on how to remove it. This is not that detailed but once these nuts are exposed, the process will not be that complicated.
