Last night before going out, I filled up my gas tank FULL. I forgot to reclose the gas cap.
Unfortunately, it rained/snowed last night/early this morning. I looked at the local rainfall history and it was exposed to the elements for about 0.5 hour of rain when I went out last night/early today. To be exact, from 12:30am to 1:00am it was exposed to 0.65 mm of rain (.025 inches ).
What can I do to get rid of the water in the gas? Does it have to be siphoned out? Can I purchase an additive to prevent the water from freezing? Does this additive only work for only some condensation in the lines? We are approaching winter and I'm afraid the gas lines will freeze up and my family and I will be stranded.
What should we do? Will the additive work?
