The first problem I noticed was that my car seemed to hesitate when accelerating. However, once it got up to about 55 mph, it seemed ok. The second problem I noticed was that the brake light and battery light stayed on until I changed gears. Both of these issues seemed to occur out of the blue one day...no previous indication that anything was wrong. The final issue came later that evening when the car refused to accelerate at all. While steadily pressing the gas pedal, the car would not go over 10 mph and began jerking violently. Also, the RPM's did not change. One mechanic thought it could be the transmission while another thought it could be a computer problem (basic diagnostic said "wrong gear ratio", but the mechanic didn't know what that meant). I'm hoping to get some advice from you before I shell out a lot of money on a solution that may not work. Thanks for your help.
