2000 Nissan Altima car starts/ transmission?

my car starts but will not move on the same day the lower control arm on the right hand side went out got it fix now the car will not move when trying to put in gear it does not go when placed in park you hear a small grind. is it the transmisson? or some linkage ? just put a NEW engine in there also axp 8 months ago car had good pick up no signs of slipage.

Hi Dalston. Welcome to the forum. You need to put some punctuation in that really long sentence. It can be misinterpreted three different ways. Look at the right inner cv joint. It most likely pulled out of the transmission when the lower control arm was apart. They are spring-loaded, so if you line it up straight, it might pop in place without pulling the control arm apart again. Once it's in, the spring pressure will keep it in place.
