1999 Nissan Altima Car makes a squealing and whining noise

my 1999 Nissan Altima makes this very annoying whining and squealing noise. The worst part about it, is that it goes away for awhile and then comes back. I took it to the shop and the mechanic drove the car with me and we did not hear a thing. The back brakes were changed. I thought everything was fine but as soon as I started driving I started hearing the noise again. The fact that it goes away on its own and comes back is so disturbing. It is so embarrassing that I don't even like to drive anymore. Let me know if you have an idea of what this could be so I don't get robbed at the auto shop. Thanks

Where is the noise coming from?
Is it related to the movement of the vehicle or engine?
Does turning or moving in straight lines make any difference?

I hear it on the front right side of the car. I thought It only sounded like that when I made a turn, but it sounds even when I am driving straight for awhile.

Front squealing noises are usually caused by brake pads wearing out and the pad wear indicator sre brushing against the rotor. Get them checked.

When I took it to the shop the mechanic said the front brakes were fine and changed the back ones I will bring it to someone else I guess. The whistling noise it makes coming from the right front side seems to go away and come back. It goes away for a bit once you let your go of the accelerator. The worst part about it is that it goes away and comes back.

Since noise is from front, it would be appropriate to check the fron and as it is intermittent, the brakes or backing plates would be the likely culprit.

The other possible cause for whistling would be the wheel bearing dust seals, if it is too dry, it can cause friction between the CV shaft.
