I have a 1995 Nissan Altima GXE 2.4 Automatic. When I bought the car in June 09 it needed a Knock Sensor, Speed Sensor and new fuse block under the steering wheel. I had the 2 sensors changed by a mechanic, and the vehicle passed emissions in Aug 09. It has not been driven anymore than 300 miles in the time that I have owned it. The fuse block had been melted at the #25 fuse and the wire to that position had been burned and the sheathing had melted as far back as I could trace it and maybe further. I replaced the block and as much of the wire as I could about 2 months ago, and the car came out of "fail-safe" mode for about a week.
Recently the transmission has gone back to "fail-safe" modeand it is throwing DTCs P0505 Idle Air Control System, P1400 Differential Pressure Feedback EGR Circuit Low Input, P0705 Transmission Range Sensor.
Today I replaced the Idle Air Control Valve, the EGR Valve, and the plugs and wires. When I was finished I cleared the codes and test drove the vehicle. It did fine and shifted. I parked the car and came bock out 10 minutes later to move it and it right back to where it was before I started Throwing the same codes again.
I've checked the wire harness under the battery tray for damaged wires but have not checked under the passenger airbag yet.
Please help I'm totally lost on this now....
