I have a 1984 Nissan 300ZX 6-3.OL-FI 2 wheel drive, 2 seater. Mileage approximately 100,000.
While driving feels like and sounds like rear shocks were bad. Replaced them. Still felt the same and made bumping sound in rear. Was informed by a mechanic that I needed to replace the entire rear Suspension member assembly because the member mounting insulators were worn out. Told me that's why the ride felt like the shocks were bad. Is it really necessary to replace the whole assembly! The term he used was "sub-frame". Area to note is where the date is displayed, under boot. Thanks.[img:a3b447d68b]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/67368_PICT0004_1.jpg[/img:a3b447d68b]
