Hi,

I own a 1988, Z31 NA automatic Nissan 300ZX. Last week I stopped at the grocery store on my way back home, when I tried to start the engine, no way... Made me think of the older carburator engines when the choke would stay on. It would run at a low speed, not much reaction when I pressed the gas pedal and it would stop after a few seconds. I also noticed that at every effort it made to start a white puff of smoke would come out of the exhaust. I had the car towed to my home and I tried to start it a few days latter... same thing with more white smoke. One more piece of info. I only use this car for 5000Km per summer. This spring I have put an additive to the engine oil in order to help it out a bit...could the problem be related to this...
