engine turns over but wont start

Lets check the fuel pump relay for a start-

thanks any idea wher the relay is located and what do i need to test it

I want you to confirm that it has spark going to the plugs-before we continue with the relay.

Nismo's are known to place there fuel pump relay at the firewall drivers side-with green plastic housing w/5pin terminal.

Try cycling the key on and off and listen closely for the clicking noise upfront or whatever-to locate the relay.

Have you attempt to check power at the pump connector?

ok how do i check for spark i am litterally a novice at working on cars so all help is greatly apreciated

ok i heard the click for the relay but still do not hear the fuel pump itself engage where do i check the power supply to the fuel pump at i am hoping this is a case for a fuel pump system failure and not a broken timing chain since i was driving the car when it broke down on me do i just remove the distributor and check to see if the rotor is spinning and if its not does that mean its a timing chain break?

ok i have good spark and fuel running to the filter and power to the fuel pump plugs are not filed or worn where is the best place to spray starting fluid to check to see if its a fuel pressure problem?

Disconnect a plugwire, ground it then crank it over-should produce a snapping blue spark

Thru the throttle body-

If its a pressure problem, you will need a fuel pressure gauge to determine its pressure by specification

Fuel pressure is very critical in EFI system

i sprayed starting fluid into the intake and still not firing could thisd be because its fuel injected and not carborated if so where would i try the sxtarting fluid at to get it to fire?

You need to spray it while you are holding the throttle plate open-I thought you said spark was good-what happened to it. it should be able to fire for a few sec's. whether its EFI or Carb.

Prime it again this time open the throttle plate pour or spray it in there.

ok sorry for being such a novice but where is the throttle plate located on an efi system once again thanks so much for all the help and what do i need to take of to get to the plate to hold it open?

There's a big plastic tube about 2 and a half in diameter from the air cleaner follow it till it stops-loosen the clamp remove tube-open the throttle by using the throttle linkage-now spray in there-
