Brakes problem
1998 Nissan 200SX 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The battery light is on and the car still starts and runs quietly. the brake light is on and the brake is all the way down.

Have the charging system checked to rule out the alternator-also for the brake light-try adjusting the parking brake switch and check the brake master cylinder fluid level

The brake pedal is barely touching the two switches and there's a hole in the pedal where it supposed meet the switch. Are there supposed to be nylon or rubber grommets that insert in the holes on the pedal itself?
