Hi, I have the 1.6 hdi the engine has been fully reconditioned after blown turbo. the new oil pump is not pumping oil, it is still dry the new turbo is pumping oil to the head so there is no blocked passages from filter house up. please help, the oil pump is not an aftermarket one it is from the main dealers and I was told to plug and play no need to prime. thank you.

Hello,

Try removing the oil filter and pumping oil down through the main port, this will get the pump "wet" and begin the pumping action.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

Best, Ken

thank you for your help ken im waiting for an oil pressure gauge im sure there is a blockage somewhere maybe the oil cooler the engine has been stripped to bear block and cleaned im at the end of my teather now but ive spent too much on it to back out now there does seem to be more oil going to the head but the hydraulic lifters arnt happy which are also new the crazy thing is it was the turbo that was the problem now it seems to be the main oil supply to the head

In the head gasket there is a passage that is meant to feed the turbo and lifters, if the wrong head gasket was used the oil to the top part of the engine will be a problem.

It is hard to say there might be two oil passages. But if no oil is getting to the turbo and lifters it would be the first place I would look.
