I just replaced my old ignition, coil and distributor with a new electronic ignition (Street Fire CD Ignition), coil and distributor (all electronic) but I cannot get my vehicle to fire up?
Now, I know enough about cars to figure out that it is not the fuel pump (I also replaced the old pump with a new stock one). There is just no spark being produced because when I spray Quick Start into the carburetor it will not even fire up for a second (which it should if there was any spark at all)?
The carburetor was also just rebuilt so I am ruling that out as the problem
My question to the forum is this; is the problem most likely with the way I set up the wire connections with the new electronic ignition, something wrong with the way I installed the new electronic distributor or could it be an issue with the new coil?
Thank you!
