New brakes squealing

Good afternoon,

What kind of brake pads did you use? A lot of times the brake pad material is the cause. The cheaper the pad, the more likely the noises from squeaking to grinding from the metal in the material.

Did you replace all the hardware for the pads as well? The hardware keeps the pads tight. The squealing comes from the pads moving around in the caliper mounts.

I bought some nice Duralast brakes and i only replaced the pads and rotors.

The hardware is mandatory to keep the pads stable.

I would get the hardware kit and install them on the pads.

1. Remove the disc brake caliper from the caliper mounting bracket.
2. Remove the disc brake pads from the caliper mounting bracket.
3. Inspect the disc brake pad mounting hardware for the following:

Missing mounting hardware
Excessive corrosion
Bent mounting tabs
Looseness at the caliper mounting bracket
Looseness at the disc brake pads
