Neutral light flashing and gear not shifting?

Okay, as I start to drive the car first gear is smoothly change and then going in the 2nd gear it takes a hard shock and after that shock neutral light start's flashing and transmission is stuck in 3rd gear. it all starts happening after heavy rain when it got into water.

It sounds like the primary pulley sensor has gone out, but we need to run the codes to see if any are stored. This guide can help, and I have included the location of the speed sensor in the images below:
