How can I put transmission in neutral without the ignition key

Hi,
The only way I am aware of is to gain access to the top of the transmission where you can see the shift cable and remove the cable from the range sensor manual valve. Then you should be able to manually move the transmission to N. Obviously it should be in park and so you want to click that lever two positions so it is in N.
