We need to torq 175 ft lb ring gear bolts. Need to hold carrier (non lock up) and don't have vice big enough.. What would you do? Any advice? You guys always seem to be able to help, figured I'd give it a whirl.

Good afternoon,

I do it in the truck. I set the carrier in place and mount the carrier bolts. Then lock the driveshaft at the pinion with the big screw drive through the U joint and then do the bolts one by one.
