Need to replace power steering pulley and belt

So after my girlfriend and I went to get breakfast, we heard a loud knocking sound (as if There were rocks under the hood). I pop the hood and saw the best running with a nice size piece flapping around. Then I noticed the pulley having a nice size gash which I believe is what caused the belt to being ripping.

My question is; what tools and parts do I need to fix my issue? Along with what is the procedure on doing this?

A special pulley puller is needed to remove the pulley. You may be able to borrow one from an auto parts store that rents or borrows tools. Before you start removing it, look closely at how far the hub of the pulley is pressed onto the pump's shaft. It could be perfectly flush, or it could be not on all the way. The new pulley must be pressed on to exactly the same depth. If it is off by as little as 1/16", it can set up a horrendous belt squeal.

It looks like there may not be enough room to fit the tool onto the pulley. You might want to ask a Ford mechanic if they raise the engine or remove the mounting bracket for the pump. Also, consider getting a copy of the manufacturer's service manual. That will have pages of instructions with line drawings. It will also list any other special tools that might be needed.
