Car will not go when the transmission is shifted into drive

The car will go in every gear except drive. what would be the problem?

Hi,

There could be a number of things causing this. Take a look at the list I attached. Note that you indicated a 4 cylinder AWD. The AWD models all came with a V6, so please confirm that for me.

Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes? Because of the model year, I would suggest scanning the CAN bus system to see if there is an electrical issue. CAN stands for controller area network. All the computers/modules are tied together. This hits all of them and if there is a stored code, it should be recognized.
