This car is in excellent condition but we were driving it yesterday on a bumpy road and the electrical shut down - all of it - completely dead: no lights, radio, no engine. It was scary. Opened hood while on the side of the road to see if anything obvious was out of place - saw nothing unusual.

Sat there for 10 minutes with car trying to decide next steps and got back into front seat only to find she had power in lights again? Tried to start it and she turned right over and ran like nothing had happened. Puzzling!

Got the car back home safely without any further mishaps (trying to avoid bumps) but now we are worried about using it at all fearing it could/will strand us again.

We have had the car for a year and driven it lightly (1000 miles) without ever having a problem.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this electrical shortage?

Thanks for your help.
