My truck is not charging the battery

Hi, i am having a hard time figuring out why my Nissan isn't charging. i check the fuses. It all started with the fusible link brake off. Nobody had any out here in San Antonio so had to go to the junk yard and get a couple. So the truck starts and runs for a little bit with jumper cables on it as soon as you take them off it'll shut off shorty after. i bought a new battery and alternator and had them both checked. If someone could help me i would really appreciate it.

Hello,

This could be a problem with Fuse A or Fuse #36 which are located in the Fuse and Fusible Link Box in the front of the right shock tower in the engine compartment. In the diagrams down below I have included a wiring diagram of your vehicle's charging circuit as well as the diagram and callout of the Fuse and Fusible Link Box for your vehicle. Please check these two fuses and get back to us with what you are able to find out. We can go from there.

Hello and welcome to 2carpros. Just to jump in as SCWICKEDSTANG stated earlier double check those fuses. If your fuses are good then do a voltage drop test across the battery cables with a digital volt meter. Attaching images below.
The first 2 images I took one lead and attached it to the positive cable and the second lead on my meter I touched the alternator battery cable. 3rd image was the voltage drop of 0.05 volts which is good. 4th image moved the lead to the ground cable and 5th image took the other lead and touched the alternator housing since it is self grounding. Last image measured 0 volts which is perfect. So my total voltage drop adding the 2 together is 0.05 volts which indicates no problem with the battery cables.

Now if for example you measured something like 2 volts across one of the cables then that would indicate high resistance in that cable and you would need to check for some type of corrosion, faulty contact etc. If you can take those measurements and post them on here that would be great. Let us know please.

Hi, there is no second fuse box on the left side of behind compartment bbq just the one with turning modules looks like another fuse box could snap on the side of that one but there's none there! Only other fuse box is under dash on riverside i checked fuse 11 and is okay! Now i am lost! When I yup truck sometimes it charges both battery and alternator as plus!
