How to reset the ignition, key/fob

My cousin's car got stolen. The thief got the original key/fob. He recover back the car. He went to the dealer ask how much to reset the ignition, key/fob. It is expensive. Is there a way to do it yourself?

Need to reboot the ignition and key/key fob because the thief may still have the other original key. Please help thanks

Yep, if the thief still has the key and you are concerned they might use it again your only choice is the dealer. They will reprogram a new key code and might need to replace the computer. How much did they say it was going to be? Here are the wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and the component locations as well. Please let me know what happens. Cheers, Ken
