My car is losing power and it is cutting off when turn air condition is on. Also, my oil light keep flashing cut off then flash again.

I have to start with a question. Does the engine only cut off at idle when you engage the air conditioner? Also, is the engine oil clean and full? Does the oil light only come on at an idle or at any engine speed?

For the AC, I really need to know if the problem is at an idle or all the time. Please keep in mind, the compressor does add a significant load to the engine. You often times can feel it when engaged. However, at an idle, there is a stepper motor which should cause the engine to idle higher to compensate for the added load.
