Can you put the top end of a 1.6 litre engine on to a 1.8 litre engine same make model and car? Just different size engines, I just want more speed and performance and I know it can be done with a lot of cars, I just want to make sure it can also be done with this one.

In my description I mean can you put 1.6 modded top end on a standard 1.8 bottom end? And is there anything I should be aware of or doing differently? If it is capable of doing so.

Hey,

This would be difficult for us to say without looking at it, can you upload images of both heads top, bottom and intake and exhaust ports please? We need to look at the bolt pattern, oil passages, gasket sealing surface, intake and exhaust mounting patterns and camshaft configuration. Also do the pistons have a dome on them?
