Codes P0025 and P054D, multiple misfires

I am having a misfire in cylinders 2, 6 and 7 in my car as well as a code P0025 and P054D. I was in the process of changing out the spark plugs and coils but with these errors i also switched out the Vanos solenoids and the camshaft sensors but i still have the errors. I am about to switch out my fuel injectors for these cylinders but I want to know if there could be another reason for the errors.

Hi,

The P0025 is usually set when there is an open circuit between the DME and Vanos solenoid valve 2, exhaust side. Basically, it could be the solenoid valve, a broken connector, or a broken wire.

What needs to be done is to first check the wire from DME to VANOS exhaust-side solenoid
valve 2. You can disconnect the wire and check to make sure there is continuity from end to end.

If that checks good, next check the power supply to VANOS exhaust-side solenoid
valve 2. Disconnect the connector and using a voltmeter or multimeter. There should be between 3 and 5v.

If both test good, replace the VANOS solenoid valve 2 on the exhaust side.

The P054D is also related to the VANOS solenoid. See description in pic 1 below.

Let me know if this helps. If I had to guess, I suspect the solenoid valve simply isn't getting power.
