The engine was turning over fine. Put some gas in the carburetor and went to try to start it again but the engine wouldn't turn. What should I do?

Good afternoon,
If you mean it will not turn, then the motor has hydro locked from fluid in the cylinder.
You need to remove the plugs and then crank it and it will push out all the fuel in the cylinders.

Wow. After putting gas in the carburetor.

I'm going to keep it as original as I can. I don't want to mess up a '71 numbers matching big block Vette.
