Where is the Mode door actuator located and how to replace it?

Here is the location of the mode door actuator but I must say there is a cam and gear assembly that may need attention as well because these gears are made of plastic and can brake causing the actuator not to work. The actuator is located on the left side of the HVAC plenum above the accelerator pedal. Check out the images (below).
