Mode door actuator

They are not a lot of fun to get at, they are on the side of the HVAC case mounted on the mode cam housing above the left footwell. The get to the actuator you remove the footwell duct and the brake and gas peddle assembly to get to the actuator. However the cam is the more common problem and for that you have to strip out most of the dash to get to it. What is the system doing?
