Where is the Voice Control Module located?

Hi all,

I tried to search in my ML W164 2007 for the place where Voice Control Module has been installed (number of this module e.g. A2098205326). This module can be replaced with any linguatronic module. EPC does not show the exact location and it looks somewhere in place under the driver seat, but really? Maybe you have some pictures where it is really localized? It would be very helpful for me. Thanks in advance.

It looks like the voice control module is under the rear seat, here are the location and instructions on how to replace it in the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Dear Ken. You've solved my confusion with the location of this module - many thanks! Thought that it should be in this place where is shown on picture You've sent... I don't have it in that place and now I am thinking why... Module Bluetooth for phone connection is on place in my car and works with phones but this VCS (SBS) does not exist. In my 211 I had both modules (Bluetooth and SBS) and SBS I just changed easy for VCS to have linguatronic option. Here in W164 wanted to do the same but now i am confused what to do... Maybe You will know it? for me it looks that I need to put additional wire loom but i'm not sure.

I am not sure what you are saying here, did you want to add the feature or wiring? Here is a wiring diagram for the call out option.

No, I was not writing about emergency call unit. I wrote again about SBS (VCS) unit (N41/3) and wiring loom to this unit.
