I am not an expert. I had the same issue and this is what the technician at the auto hobby shop told me: after filling it with refrigerant (which he told me after the fact that it was not the problem, as he only put in there a little less than half of total capacity before it was full again), he said that if that didn't fix it (it didn't) then it was probably the expansion valve. He said that he couldn't pull up any info on where the expansion valve is on my car and even exactly what it looks like. He did say that a lot of times they are buried in the firewall behind the dashboard, and repair costs might be around $1000 because of the labor involved in replacing a part that costs less than $100. Don't know if this helps, but I thought it was the least I could do.
