Low frequency noise from rear of vehicle above 40 mph

I posted this once, but I forgot some information. I have low frequency humming noise for the rear end of the vehicle when I get above 40 MPH. I have a mitsubishi Galant, 1999, 104000miles. 4 cylinder engine. If you have any information that can help narrow down the problem or an idea of what the problem is I would appreciate it.
