lights

Hi, I have a mitsubishi magna advance 1998 model, My problem is when I brake my headlights come on aswell, dashlights also come on when I take my foot off the brake they go off again. On inspection of the battery I found one cell to be right down I topped it up when I started the car the next morning everything was working perfectly later that evening to come home from work the problem had re appeared, I subsequently replaced the battery the problem didnt go away. I recently jump started a motorists car for him approximately 3 days later the problem appeared could this have anything to do with the problem, no other problems evident runs perfectly fine all other electrics in good working order
