Hi my name is Kellen Krauss and im having some problems with my 98 mitsubishi eclipse gsx, I think its my ecu ecm but im no expert.
here is whats going on sometimes my car runs good and sometimes it doesnt so I checked out my motor when it was running bad, my # 2 & 3 cylinders were not working I know because I pulled of the injector wires to them and the car ran the same no change, but im getting good spark to them I know because I pulled the wires also and they were firing ok.
A mechanic friend of mine was there and told me to disconect my neg battery terminal and put it back on again (I think to reset my computer) And when I started it up it was running good again - so I dont think it has anything to do with my motor or injectors.
About half a block it started ideling funny, going up and down.
My car has 50,000 miles on it it has a new battery new o2 sensors, because I blew a turbo on it, new spark plugs and wires because I thought that might be the promlem.
And ever since I bought the car used at 45,000 miles my tach has been working on and off and wasnt working for a while but now it is coming on but still not working right, im telling you this because I dont know if this could be a result of a bad computer.
