idle problems

i have a 2002 mitsubishui montero 6 cylinder i think it`s 4.1. when idling if you turn on the a/c it cut`s off

Maybe the computer is not getting the correct signal that the AC compressor is in operation and its not adjusting the IACV/Motor to maintain the speed due to the extra load form the AC. Or a problem with an idle up solenoid.
