i have a 97 mitsubishi eclipse 79000 miles its a standard an when i was drivin back home to arkansas a 600 mile drive an the check engine light came on after 300 miles when i got to arkansas i was stoped an when i thru it into first an dropped the clutch it made a loud pop sound an started to smoke i can put it in 1st thru 5th gear an reverse an hit the gas an all it does is rev up can ne one tell me whats wrong with my car
