Hello!
I own a 2004 Mitsubishu Eclipse GT with the 3.0 V6 in it. It has about 17k miles on it right now. i was driving it the other day with the a/c on and went to pass another car, as i did so, it started to make a whining noise from under the hood. The 1st thing i did was turn off the a/c and the noise stopped. The car runs great with the a/c off, but soon as i turn it on it starts the whining noise. I was wondering if the compressor or something was going out on me. Seems kind of unlikely with so few miles on it though. I live in phoenix Az so we use the a/c a ton and i need to figure out what the problem is. I checked the belts, and they seem to be pretty tight, and in good condition. any help would be greatly appreciated

i took it in, and the compressor is bad, something internal. gunna go give the dealership hell.. thx for yer help
