For the last couple days it has been very hot outside and when I start my car there is a steady horn blast. I have tried turning off my car and then restarting only to hear my horn blaring again, the only way I can get it to shut off is to repeatedly hit my steering wheel. When it is cooler out in the morning and evening I don't have this problem. This has now been happening for about a week . Please help.

There is a contact problem that is causing this I believe.

Either the troubleshooting has to be done while the horn is blaring, (in which case you can unplug it it keep testing, or use your fridge for a testing device. Such as pull the relay out and throw it in the fridge to bring down the temp and put it in to see if it reacts to the cold. This really sounds like a hornpad problem though. I have seen this on older GM caviliers. Especially since hitting the steering wheel is affecting it.
