2005 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When fan control is set to 1 the AC light comes on and the compressor runs, as soon as I turn it to 2 or above the light goes off and the compressor shuts off. Freon level is good....

Hi djankor,

If the A/C blower motor works only on 1st and highest speed, the most likely cause is a bad blower resistor. If only 1st speed is working, then it could be a faulty switch.
